Current Health and Safety

Your families safety is incredibly important to us. I know things seem a tad all over the place but I wanted to jump in your ear and let you know what we’re doing at Robyn O’Brien Photography and answer the most common questions:

WILL YOU STILL PHOTOGRAPH OUR FAMILY?

Yes, We are currently doing outdoor, adventure or garden shoots. Based on the latest advice allowing groups of up to 6 people from different households to meet in public (with social distancing), we are restarting family photography sessions. These will be on location, for families of 5 or fewer. (With our apologies to those of you with larger families – we will book you in as soon as it is safe to do so)

If you’re looking for a newborn or maternity shoot, then please get into contact with me, as we are doing a special doorstep photography.

How will our photoshoot be different because of COVID-19?

Planning your session.

As we believe planning your session is so important to get the most of out it. We will still plan it with you, however this is now available via telephone, video call, or social-distance outdoor meeting. We’ll send you our FAQ and what to wear guide. NEW: Instead of mailing you some lovely documents to receive in the post, we’ll send you a PDF. It’s not quite as nice, but it’s one step safer…

Your Photography Session

We won’t be shaking your hands. In fact, we’ll stay 2m away from throughout. We’ll also be sanitising our hands and wearing a mask (if necessary)

THE ORDERING SESSION

This is the big change. Previously, we would come to your home and show your photos in comfort there on your big screen. Not for the immediate future, however…Instead, we’ll be using conferencing software to show you your images, talk through the print options, and work out those you love and want to have forever. We’ll still set aside an hour (but we can take more time if needed), and you don’t even need to offer us a cup of tea. We’ll have products to hand to show you on camera – not quite the same as seeing and feeling them in person, but a reasonable substitute under the circumstances.

Delivery

When we deliver your order, we’ll maintain social distancing (we promise it won’t just be a knock and run, like some couriers…)

WHAT IF YOU or I CATCH COVID-19?

For those individuals who will be participating, they will be contacted the day before of the shoot to ensure all members taking part are feeling fit and well.
To protect customers Robyn O’Brien Photography reserves the right to cancel or postpone (min of 2 weeks) any pre-booked photography service or training event should it be deemed to have risk of transferring the COVID-19 virus. The cancellation would result in any pre-paid monies being returned to the customer. The cancellation or postponement cannot result in the customer seeking any compensation from Robyn O’Brien Photography.

What extra measure are you taking to minimise risk?

All equipment will be checked and cleaned after each session.

What do we need to do before our session?

If you or your child have been in contact with anyone with a cough or fever or if you feel unwell (even mildly) before your session, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. I understand this may be an inconvenience, but it is of utmost importance that I do not allow a virus into the studio at this time due to the vulnerable condition of my other clients. Please ensure you wash your hands well for at least 20 seconds before leaving your house. Please bring your own snacks/food/drinks to eat during the session,If you become unwell within 7 days after your session, please let me know immediately even if you feel it is only mild. Please note: If anyone attending the session appears to have a cough, fever or other symptoms of a virus, I will need to ask to postpone the session with no exceptions. It is important to let me know in advance if you are feeling unwell so I can reschedule your session to another time. Thank you for helping me keep a clean and safe environment for myself and all of my clients. We will continue to monitor the situation regarding coronavirus / COVID-19, following the government advice, and will post updates on this page.In the meantime: stay safe, be thoughtful of others, and we hope to be able to see you very soon! Please contact us if you have any questions.
