I mean business!

Hiding my camera in a pretty bag.

My Lowepro Runner 450AW is my go to place. It keeps everything nice and safe and I know it has everything in there including the kitchen sink.

My JoJo Totes Abby Black is my event bag or day trip out with Jack. It’s for when I know my phone won’t cut it but I don’t want or need to take everything out with me. It’s great for friends parties or day trips out.

Unfortunately, this one has been discontinued, however there are some lovely other ones like this Betsy one.

So what's in my bag?

What’s in a photographer’s bag seems to be the number one question asked! So here it goes.

Canon Camera

Canon DSLR

I actually have three now, and I still use all three of them. I know, but you don't always want to carry the biggest, heaviest, most expensive one around. The important thing is how you use your camera. But if you're struggling to work out with one you want start with the an entry level one Canon 200D. A lovely starter camera for someone starting out.

Canon 17-55mm

My 24-70mm on crop sensor.

Canon 24-70mm

I love this lens

Tamron 70-300mm Lens

Tamron 70-300mm

I use my Tamron for macro work.

Canon 70-200mm L Lens

Canon 70-200mm L

A beautiful lens and a life saver for outside.

Canon 50mm Lens

Canon 50mm

My most affordable lens out there. Starting from £100 new.

Extension tube

A nice piece of kit for doing macro work.

Manfrotto Tripod

Manfrotto Befree Travel Tripod - Black

An absolute must for keeping the camera steady.

Yongnuo Speedlite

Yougnuo Speedlite YN560 + TX

A surprisingly lovely flash, that I wouldn't be without.

Spare batteries

You should always keep spare batteries, you never now when you'll need one.

SD Memory Card

SD Extreme Pro Memory card

It's always worth spending that little bit more on good memory cards. I love my SD Extreme Pro cards.

Wacom Tablet

If I could only have one accessory, I'd buy this. It's life changing from an editing point of view.

MacBook Pro

MacBook Pro

What else are you going to use or storing, editing and generally having fun.

Other items to consider

Most Used Item in my bag?

Is my f2.8 24-70mm Lens. I love this for using indoors with toddlers and family portraits. It’s great for when there’s limited space.

Least used item in my bag?

My flash. It’s a very reasonable flash and I’ve started using it in a varitey of ways, but I always prefer to use natural lighting where possible. I’m sorry I just do.

Why the photographer is more important than the camera.
