It doesn’t matter what type of mom you are, we all wanna know how to look good in pictures, but we focus on the wrong things. I here the following all the time:
I’ll book a family shoot once I’ve:
- Lose 10 ibs
- When things settle down
- When Little “Jacks” got his tooth back
- Once I’ve had chance to get my hair done
- When the kids are calmer
- I’ve made some spare money
- magically found some extra time
The reality is more many of us are worried about; wasting money, not liking the photos, uncooperative kids and don’t like the way we look in photos.
So if it’s because you don’t like the way you look in photos.
Here are my top 5 tips of how to look good in any picture without needing to lose those extra 10ibs first:
First off you need to be yourself. Wear something that’s you. If thats a hoodie or pjs make the most of it.
Wearing something you’re comfortable will make all the difference.
Take a look at your favourite pictures of yourself and try to spot a pattern. Do you like the way you look from a certain angle? When you smile a specific way? Try to replicate your best poses next time you have your photo taken.
To avoid a double chin, elongate your neck and push your forehead forward and down a bit, like a tortoise. It might feel awkward, but it will look great—promise.
Or take the photo from slightly above. It’s makes a big difference and give you a photogenic face!
As you can see from above the best focal length for portraits are between 70-200mm.
If you’re finding that your smile looks wide and goofy, try putting your tongue behind your teeth.
Best poses for pictures especially how to look thinner in pictures
When thinking about how to take a full body picture, it’s all about angles and diagonals.
However, its not the same for headshots / profile pictures
